The final competition was turning 3 aluminum rods. The scoring formula was based on material removal rate and accuracy (diameter and taper error).
My teammate, Jeff, during the competition using the power feed. As a grad student team, we were required to have an extra design feature. Although a Z-axis power feed wasn’t an easy option, it did help us win the competition.
